CWDM

GEZHI CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division multiplexer ) is based on TFF (thin film filter), which has a variety of package sized and wavlenegth options.
  • CWDM technology provides the flexibility to increase capacity of existing fiber infrastructure by enabling multiple channels/wavelengths over the same fiber cabling. Each channel carries data independently from each other, allowing network designers to transport different data rates.

    CWDM systems can transport 18 wavelengths (1270~1610nm) with a channel spacing of 20nm. In custom application typically use 1470 to 1610nm in the spectrum grid. Compare with DWDM, CWDM has a wider channel spacing than DWDM.
